I bought my first Bachmann book today. Clearly, a special day.

These things make me feel psychic. I started reading Firestarter yesterday, and last night I had a dream about Fahrenheit 451! It was so weird. Except in my dream, Fahrenheit 451 was a movie starring Tom Hanks and the plot of it was exactly like Children of the Corn, but set in the snow.

This is my latest venture into King-dom. Lisey’ Story was the first Stephen King book I ever read, and I remember it simultaneously made me cry and creeped me the fuck out. Apparently it was received similarly to From A Buick 8, which I really enjoyed even if it was mega weird. So I am going to lose myself in it.

Mum, I love you. Her work have this big bookshelf of old crappy books that no one reads any more and if you take one you’re supposed to leave a donation. She took for me ‘Dreamcatcher’ and ‘Gerald’s Game’ by Stephen King - I’ve got Gerald’s Game but she got a hard copy for me so I’m giving her the paperback to take into work.
So excited as Dreamcatcher is a Derry based story and man, I love Derry based stories.

the books that have piled up because i have been too lazy to read them has gotten out of control. i keep them at the bottom of my bookshelf because there’s no room in my bookshelves, mainly because i keep all of my favourite stephen king books (of which there are a lot) on the bookshelves.
still have christopher hitchens’ ‘arguably’, an al gore’s book, p.j o’rourke, and some bret easton ellis books to read.
and i am waiting for two books to arrive in the mail.

Uhhhh SHIVERS FROM SO MUCH GOOD WRITING. Especially when you realise the time travelling begins in 1958, as in a year after the first part of It, and I did do some good freaking out when I realised they were talking about It characters… AHHH SO GOOD I LOVE YOU STEPHEN KING.

Is the cover guy meant to be Martin Sheen or Christopher Walken? Sure looks like evil Christopher Walken to me.
